The 5-seconds rule – A LIFE CHANGER

Wanna beat procrastination?  Then, get your eyes opened and change your life in 5 seconds. The 5 seconds rule of Mel Robbins is for those who is a lazy bird like me.

Trust me,  It changes an anxious, overwhelmed and suppressed mind into much more actionable, attainable and with a positive mentality.  It reveals the greatest version of yourself and inspires to convert the dreams into reality.

You can use the rule to become more present and productive. It can encourage you to become the best of you, your existence.  It teaches you to start believing in yourself, your abilities, your capabilities.  It can make you accept the fact that you, yourself has the potential to bring your dreams into your fist.

The rule was discovered first by Mel Robbins. She used the rule to change her and disclose the best version of herself. She discovered the rule when her everything was in the gutter. It made her feel in control, happy and free.

There are endless to-dos in our everyday life. We can just stop making excuses and get ourselves into action within 5 seconds. To make ourselves more productive, it plays a drastic role in our life. It provides your brain instant motivation and tries to get you into action

I just read Mel Robbins book the 5 seconds rule and it was just superb. It teaches us to stop snoozing our alarm clock, stop procrastinating and get ourselves into action.

It says that whenever we have any instinct to do something, our brain or surrounding environment gradually distracts us from that and we begin to procrastinate. And at that time if we count backwards from 5 then we instantly have the motivation to do it. If we keep doing so it subconsciously becomes a habit and we use it in our daily chores. Then we gradually stop being lazy about anything productive.  It just breaks your laziness and helps us to achieve our personal and professional goals.

It is said to be the fastest way to change our life.  “You are just five seconds away from a totally different life”

The Rule

The most casual example for this rule is using this miraculous stuff while getting up from bed in the morning. In the morning when suddenly alarm rings the bed feels super comfortable and we don’t feel like to get up from bed. As a result we snooze the alarm clock.  In this case if we apply the five seconds rule, counting backwards 5,4,3,2,1… and the physically move or just jump out from the bed otherwise your brain will stop you.

You can also use the rule while trying to act on any kind of goal and your brain is stopping or demotivating you from doing so. Just count backwards 5to1 and get yourself into action.

According to Mel Robbins

“The 5 Second Rule is simple. If you have an instinct to act on a goal, you must physically move within 5 seconds or your brain will kill it.

I discovered this rule maybe a year ago. And I must confess: I don’t use it all the time, even though I should. But it’s the only trick that works for me. And since I’m the most sluggish slug  you can encounter on this planet: it can only work for you to
